Amee McKim, Founder and CEO
Amee McKim has devoted her career to working with lawyers - recruiting attorneys at all levels, assessing relevant financials, coaching lawyers, teaching professional skills, and supporting lawyer development and transitions at every career stage. A law graduate and former practicing lawyer, Amee brings both empathy and practical judgment to legal recruitment, with a clear understanding of the demands, expectations, and career decisions unique to the legal profession. Through McKim Consulting Group LLC, Amee helps law firms, legal departments, and lawyers make better hiring, development, and transition decisions with practical judgment grounded in years of legal industry experience.
Prior to establishing McKim Consulting, Amee most recently served as Director of Legal Recruitment and Development at Duane Morris LLP, where she led attorney hiring strategies and oversaw firmwide professional development initiatives. Previously, she was Director of Lawyer Recruiting and Development for Hunton & Williams LLP in Richmond, Virginia. She also served as Assistant Dean of Professional Development at The Ohio State University College of Law in Columbus, Ohio, guiding law students and new lawyers in building the foundations of successful legal careers. Earlier in her career, she practiced as an associate attorney at Baker & Daniels in Fort Wayne, Indiana, giving her firsthand insight into the professional demands and expectations of law practice.
A trained coach, accomplished speaker, and published author, Amee has written extensively on legal career development and attorney professionalism. Her book, A Guide to Maximizing Lawyer Potential: Professionalism and Business Etiquette for Law Students and Lawyers, was published by Thomson West, and she has authored numerous articles on legal recruiting and professional growth.
Amee is a member of the National Association of Legal Search Consultants (NALSC). Previously, Amee was deeply engaged in the National Association for Law Placement (NALP), where she held multiple leadership roles, including serving as vice president.
Amee earned her J.D. with honors from The Ohio State University and her undergraduate degree with honors from Otterbein College. She also completed all coursework, except the dissertation, for a Ph.D in Higher Education from The Ohio State University.

Michele Sullivan, Legal Search Consultant
Michele Sullivan brings a wealth of experience as a public-school educator and administrator, offering a thoughtful, people-centered perspective to the recruiting process. Throughout her career, she has worked with individuals from diverse backgrounds and created supportive environments where people feel valued, understood and empowered to succeed.
Drawing on her leadership background in education, Michele is skilled at understanding the needs, goals, and motivations of candidates. This insight allows her to build meaningful relationships and connect talented professionals with opportunities where they can thrive.
A Massachusetts native, Michele earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education from Bridgewater State College. After moving to Virginia, she earned a Master’s Degree in Education and Administration from the University of Virginia.
Outside of work, Michele enjoys creating lasting memories with her family, spending time with her dog, Captain Jack Sparrow, and expressing her creativity through upcycling and restoring old furniture.
